A winter scarf is said to be very versatile because it allows you to create any look when wearing it. However, not all winter scarves are good enough for you. There are some things that need to be considered in choosing the right winter scarf for you.

First of all, scarves are made from different materials. The piece can be made of wool or from high-quality synthetic fabrics. These fabrics provide the warmth needed, hence, it is better to choose the warmer fabric. Likewise, these fabrics are durable enough to make it last long.

Next, it is important to consider your body shape and proportion. Although a winter scarf has a standard width, there are scarves the lengths of which vary. If you are short, then you better avoid wearing the long one. It will not be proportional to you and worse, it may make you appear shorter when the ends drape.

Another thing – the color and the design of the scarf must be considered. It is advisable to choose a scarf which has strong bold colors. Although printed and patterned ones are cute, those scarves which are plain and bold in colors are easy to mix and match with other winter clothing like a hat, a coat, and gloves. A plain-colored winter scarf goes a long way with any outfit. However, if you cannot let go of that one cute printed scarf on a shelf, then make everything else in your outfit be plain. Remember, use one printed clothing item in your outfit to make it stand out, and complement the outfit.

In choosing the right winter scarf, it is important to consider also other winter outfits. When your winter coat, hat, gloves, and boots are in neutral, it is advisable to choose a scarf that would complement these clothing, say for example, brown, white, and black is a good pick. In case of a printed or patterned scarf, make sure it does not draw away the attention from the face.

With the versatility of the scarf, it is necessary to consider some things that would affect the look of the wearer because not all scarves are especially designed for an individual.

Protecting your skin from sun while engaged in out door activities such as playing sports like golf, tennis and baseball or going out for vacation on beach or going for swimming is very important aspect. As skin is very sensitive part of body therefore protecting skin from sun is very important.
When winter season approaches our attention turns to putting away your summer items and taking out long sleeve shirts, woolen cloths and jackets. But what about those items which you were using for protecting yourself from sun things like sunscreens, sunglasses, and sun protective hats and clothing.

You may be avoiding by putting these things away and avoid using them during the winter. The report released by The National Council of Skin Cancer Prevention research shows only 3 percent of Americans routinely use sunscreen during the fall months, and only 2 percent during the winter months. Though there are still chances of getting sunburn and snow blindness during winter season. As colder temperature is unable to block the UV rays and reflections off the snow and higher altitudes can make matters even worse. By not protecting yourself from sun and snow you may be causing yourself significant, long-term damage.

What steps should be taken for protecting yourself form the sun in winter for this follow simple step given below:-

1. Limiting your time in Middy sun as it has been found that sun rays are stronger between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. try to limit the exposure of your body to the sun during Midday time.
2. Wearing hat is a good idea only wear hats which have wide brim protecting you from sun.
3. Wearing cloths such as tightly woven, loose fitting and full length clothing a good idea for protecting skin from the sun’s UV rays.
4. For protecting your eyes from UV radiation wearing sunglasses that block 99-100% of UV Radiation.
5. Using sunscreen with a sun protection factor of at least 15 or higher liberally on exposed skin. Therefore applying sunscreen every .2 hours, or after working, swimming, playing, or exercising outdoors.
6. Avoiding artificial source of UV light such as Sunlamps, which damage the skin and eyes.
7. Watching UV index is very important, as by watching the UV index you can you’re your outdoor activities accordingly. This index is developed by NWS and EPA. UV index is daily issued in some cities across US……Read More

Baseball cap – these caps have been a chief accessory for many years now. This can be used in all occasions and by all people regardless of gender and age.
Beanies – beanies are so comfy to wear. These hats maintain your head good and warm and can be pulled down the ears when the weather gets really cold and freezing.
